Chattacon was a lot of fun, as usual. I prefer the Clarion but the Choo Choo is acceptable.
I achieved most of my goals for the con one of which was to play at least one new (to me) game. I played three! ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) toddlyles brought Blue Moon City which is as much fun to play as it is beautiful. I also played Bang! which I have owned for a while but could never get enough people together to play it. It is a lot of fun. I never won either game but I really enjoyed each one. I also played Oshi (another pretty one) which is a board game by WizKids. It's one of those simple games with a lot of different strategies.
On the non-gaming front, I had a great time at the Hypericon party. We had a really good turnout with almost no slow points. The usual suspects showed up and I met a few new people. the_blackfairy and I discovered that we should form a support group for survivors of crappy jobs.
I bought a pile of 50-cent comics and a couple of new games. I had a wonderful sushi dinner and some awesome pizza (not at the same time). It was a great vacation and the weather cooperated so the walks around the huge hotel campus were not too bad.
melissagay won the People's Choice art show award for the second year in a row!
The Polaris game I wanted to play didn't happen due to scheduling conflicts but I'm not too bummed about that. There will be other cons.
